- Free Shipping on UK Orders over £25
We use tracked post for all orders.
UK postage using Royal Mail Tracked 48 – £3.90, free for orders over £25
UK postage using Guaranteed by 1pm next day – £9.00
European postage – £10.00
Postage to everywhere else – £12.00
These rates mean we cover some of the international postage costs, especially on larger orders.
EU customers – we can collect and pay VAT and customs charges for you on orders under EUR150 (about £135). This helps prevent delays at customs and avoids unexpected costs. Qualifying orders will be offered the chance to do this as part of the checkout process.
We like to get your goods sent to you as quickly as possible, and if you order before 1400 GMT on Monday to Friday your parcel will be dispatched on the same day. We’ll send a dispatch notice once your parcel is collected to let you know it’s on the way to you.
If your order contains items which are back ordered we’ll wait until everything is ready. We’ll keep you up to date with an expected dispatch date within 48 hours of receiving your order.
On the day your order is being posted you’ll receive an email confirming your order is complete and giving you a tracking number. Orders can be tracked via the Royal Mail website.
International orders are transferred to the post carrier in that country and when this is done an option to continue to track the parcel becomes available.
We send all parcels by either Royal Mail 48 or airmail. UK parcels should arrive within 2-3 days, airmail within 5-10 working days. It’s very rare for us to lose a parcel, and over the 20 years we’ve been sending orders out we have only a handful which haven’t turned up.
UK customers
If a UK parcel hasn’t arrived within 3 working days, please check the tracking number (just contact us if you can’t find it). That should let you know if there’s been a hold up or if the post office think they’ve delivered a parcel. Sometimes parcels get tucked into a very safe place and there should be a photo to show you where to look.
We may also ask you to check with your sorting office to find out if they are holding a parcel for you but haven’t left a card.
We cannot make any claim against the post office until 15 working days have passed from the posting date, so don’t offer refunds or replacements for this period.
Almost every parcel does turn up within 15 days, so while we appreciate that it can be frustrating, we’ll ask you to wait, otherwise we pay to post a replacement and then to have the duplicate returned to us. We appreciate that some parcels are time critical – please let us know and we can arrange a replacement sooner.
After 15 working days for UK customers we will post a replacement or refund your Paypal account or credit card.
Non UK Customers
Overseas parcels are not considered as missing by the post office for 3 months, and we apply a two month waiting period before replacing or refunding your order. This allows time for parcels to be returned to us if they haven’t been collected. Some countries send a notification that there’s a parcel to collect rather than arranging delivery, and if that gets missed parcels get posted back to us.
What don’t we refund?
If you give us an incorrect or incomplete address and the parcel is delivered there we won’t refund you. Please check that the details you have provided are correct. If you’ve made a mistake let us know as quickly as possible. In the event that a parcel is returned to us after incorrect details are given we will offer you the option of having the parcels sent to the correct address at your cost or receiving a refund of the parcel value less postage costs.
If you ask for your parcel to be left in a safe place we will put this information on the parcel for your post person. Please note that we cannot take responsibility for missing parcels with leave in a safe place instructions once they’ve been delivered.
All parcels sent outside the UK have customs labels with the correct value and classification of the goods shown. This includes any postage charged.
New regulations mean that we need to register and sign up for a packaging recycling scheme for EU countries. Unfortunately at the moment there isn’t a central scheme. We’ve signed up for Germany which has an easy to use and affordable system.
However there are countries where it’s either very difficult or very expensive to register, so for now we will no longer ship to these counties :
France
Spain
Poland
Greece
Lithuania
Slovakia
If and when there’s an affordable solution we’ll start shipping to those countries again. In the meantime if there’s something you can’t live without please let us know.
We do not ship to Russia or Belarus.
